We wake up in the morning and are instantly in a rush to get ready for work, get the kids ready for school, feed the family and maybe get some food in us on the way out the door.
Breakfast always seems to be a tight time, so I’ve put together 5 fat burning breakfast ideas that take 5 minutes or less to make and are portable so you can take them with you on the go!
1. Microwave Ham, Mushroom & Egg Mug
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Diced Ham
- Sea Salt/Pepper
Add eggs and ham to a coffee mug and whisk together. Microwave on HIGH for 45 seconds until eggs are almost set. Set aside for another 30-45 seconds. Make sure eggs are cooked all the way through, but be careful not to overcook the eggs.
Sprinkle some sea salt and pepper on top and enjoy!
2. Chocolate Banana Super Smoothie
- 1 cup Unsweetened Chocolate Almond Milk
- 1 handful Kale
- 1 tbsp Unsweetened Cocoa Powder
- 1 TBSP Coconut Oil
- 2 scoops Chocolate Protein Powder
Blend everything together and enjoy a complete meal full of nutrients!
3. Power Oatmeal
- 1/3 cup Rolled Oats
- 2/3 cup Water
- 1 tbsp Crushed Walnuts
- 1 scoop Chocolate Protein Powder
- 1 tbsp Natural Peanut Butter
Combine the oats and water in a bowl and mix together. Microwave on HIGH for 45-60 seconds. Let oats sit for another 15-30 seconds.
Add the protein powder and mix together with the oats until completely mixed in.
Add the peanut butter and mix in.
Sprinkle the crushed walnuts on top and enjoy!
4. Green Monster Super Smoothie
- 1 cup Unsweetened Coconut Milk
- 2 cups Baby Spinach
- 1/2 Avocado
- 2 tbsp Almond Butter
- 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 2 scoops Vanilla Protein Powder
- 1 cup ice
Blend it all up until smooth and enjoy!
5. Mexi-Scramble On Mixed Greens
- 2 Eggs
- 1/2 Bell Pepper, diced (optional)
- 2 Mushrooms, chopped (optional)
- 2 cups Mixed Greens
- 1 tbsp Coconut Oil
- 2 tbsp Salsa
- 1/2 Avocado, sliced
- 1 tsp Cumin
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 tsp Onion Powder
Heat coconut oil in a small skillet on MEDIUM heat and add the Bell Pepper and Mushrooms. Cook for 10 minutes, stirring occassionally.
Turn the heat down to MED/LOW and add the eggs, cumin, garlic powder and onion powder. Whisk together with the peppers and mushrooms.
Scramble the eggs a couple of times until they are cooked through.
Place on top of the mixed greens and top with the salsa and avocado (sliced)
